Apache Junction is a city in both Pinal and Maricopa Counties in Arizona. As of the last census, the population was around 38,500 residents, most who live in Pinal County. It is named for the junction of the Apache Trail and Old West Highway. The area where Apache Junction is located used to be known as Youngberg, and this area enjoys the most spectacular views of Superstition Mountain which is to the East.
