Before the home search begins, if you will be financing your purchase, the first item on the to-do list, is to connect with a local lender. They will guide you through the financing section of the home buying process. My preferred lenders are committed to prompt, professional and courteous service to help you understand the different loan programs you may have available to you depending on your situation.
Why do I need to be Pre-Approved?
As your REALTOR®, I want my clients to always be able to put their best foot forward when they find their dream home. Being Pre-Approved for a home loan is just one of the ways that my clients use, to show they are serious buyers to the homeowners. Under the current AZ Residential Resale Purchase Contract, an AAR Pre-Qualification Form is required when submitting a Purchase Contract on a home. Being Pre-Approved, is an additional step beyond Pre-Qualification that can make a potential homebuyer a stronger candidate should the homeowners receive multiple offers.
When a lender pre-approves you for a home loan, they have a very clear picture of what we may need to ask for from the homeowners. For example, assistance in the form of closing costs, a buy down of the interest rate, etc. This step of the process also determines the type of loan you will be using for your purchase, as this is also required to be indicated in the Purchase Contract.
